│·■ WHAT iS iCFAM & WHY DO YOU BOTHER US WITH ANOTHER EZYCOM TOOL? ■·│
├───────┬────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
│ oo1.o │ iCFAM is the try to create a manager for ezycom's most important
└───────┘ data files. First i only wanted to improve AIO, a fileareamover I
created some time ago, but icfam got bigger and bigger...
iCFAM is a hole-filler for a tool i paid for. The autor never
released a version for ezy1.1 and i paid 40 DM for a tool that i
finally used only few months ;( ...however a release version of
iCFAM will be free or available through a very low registration fee.
Have fun..any ideas, ciritc or bug-reports should be send immidatly
to me - manuel hartl aka iCECEP
>>>>>>>> btw..The chance that icfam stays freeware is linked to the <<<<<<<
>>>>>>>> feedback i receive (via mail/bbs or anything) <<<<<<<
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│·■ PRODUCT STATUS ■·│
├───────┬────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
│ oo1.1 │ iCFAM is currently FREEWARE. That means you can copy and use it
└───────┘ as long as you want, but DO NOT CHANGE IT or delete files off the
distribution archive.
If i recognize high use and no mails to me or calls to my board,
i perhaps ask for low registration fees in future.
as you can see, i WANT FEEDBACK.
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│·■ USING ICFAM & COMMAND-LINE FEATURES ■·│
├───────┬────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
│ oo2.o │ All functions are cursor-key driven, so you should't have problems
└───────┘ choosing menus,etc.
F1 HELP - this is the global help key..Press F1 to get infos about
the important key for the actual window.
E Edit - In most windows you can edit the entry.
For further infos press F1 in the window..
Different nots:
- The command line parameter "/N<node>" defines the editing of
the config file (if this function is chosen) by :
if config.<node> is found then config.<node> will be edited
if NOT then config.EZY is used!
Command Line Parameters:
/N<node> only neccessay for config.<node> editing.
(use /N0 for config.ezy editing)
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│·■ COMMENTS TO COPYING/MOVING OF AREAS/PATHS ■·│
├───────┬────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
│ oo2.1 │ COPY - Only the entries will be copied..no files in the areas/paths
└───────┘ I thought of this function as coping entries to edit them
and finally create new entries.
MOVE - There are TREE modes of moving..
- F6 :
Only to and from the same type of window
path to path : path entry..and all files (flhxxxxx.bbs)
in the base will be updates if they are linked to the moved
path entry
area to area : only the area entry will be transfered.
the path link will be unaltered !
- STRG-F6 :
this is 1:1 moving,
Area & Path entry will be moved, so the source and
destination window may be path OR area.
The files (FLHxxxxx.bbs) in the area will be updated to
the new path position.
-> only use this method, if path and area have the same
record number and the path has no other links
- SHIFT-F6 :
This is a combination of mode 1&2 ..the path and the area
will be moved PLUS fixing the other paths.
SUMMARY:
As long you use method I, there can't be made any mistakes
(if there aren't exit bugs..). And method II is for 1:1
moving. If there are still questions about the moving,
please ask me!
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│·■ GREETS & THANX ■·│
├───────┬────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
│ oo7.o │ devil - for his nice cybergate jpg !
└───────┘ dynamite - complete your own mailbox soft!
pretender - hang on makin' g00d muzak
/ hates /
p.d. - his new ezycom prices SUCK.
b.g. - he sucks everytime, ya now..
to the few people who have requested/leeched ICFAM !!
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│·■ People using ICFAM ;) (instead of a list of registered people) ■·│
├───────┬────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
│ oo9.o │ EveryOne who wants to be included in this list, has to
└───────┘ call my board (or by fido) and write a message me
including his opinion about ICFAM - thats all ;)
Please write a mess, it'll motivate me.
(or do you want dull shareware!?)
- still empty -
